This circular scagliola tabletop is ascribed to the Della Valle brothers (first half of the XIX century). It portraits Piazza della Signoria surrounded by an ornament on a black background of Raphaelesque inspiration, consisting of acanthus spirals interspersed by lions, harpies, and by four medallions representing the profiles of Dante, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Galileo.
